As I’m sure you’ve heard, Banksy has opened his own bemusement park Dismaland.
Tickets are only ₤3 with a ₤2 surcharge for buying online ahead of time. They’re obviously selling out quickly (and being scalped for up to ₤300 each); as of this post, they’re available through September 7th and there are only 4 time slots with tickets actually available.
I really want to go, but it’s not appropriate for children (it features a Cinderella in a carriage crash being photographed by paparazzi, for example) and all three of us going would be pretty expensive and quite the to do. So if anyone goes, it’ll be just me. And here’s what the trip would entail:
- round trip ticket from Basel to Gatwick
- an overnight stay (because same-day tickets are about twice as expensive)
- two nearly-four-hour train rides
It’ll cost a few hundred dollars, but this is pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
So, dear readers, what do you think?
