Better Late than Never

So, back in April we moved into our apartment and I posted a video of it empty. We had pretty much all of the furniture built and everything put away by the time we went back to Peoria in May, but we hadn’t hung any artwork and we hadn’t found any curtains we liked, so it still felt pretty unfinished.

In the past couple of weeks, we finally hung the curtains and got some pictures up on the walls.  Thursday night we put together the doors for Andy’s wardrobe and got that done.  Now there are literally just a handful of things that need to be put up (a magnetic board and a few more pictures) before the apartment is “done.”

This may seem like we’re moving incredibly slowly, but we only ever hung like 2 pictures up in our house in Peoria and we lived there for years, so we’re actually doing really well.  For us.

This morning we shot a video of the apartment.  It’s a lot longer than the one with the empty apartment.  G wanted to narrate the whole thing (“I’m mad that Mama wouldn’t let me talk more on the video!”) and would have showed off each individual item in the apartment, had I the patience and space on my phone for her to do so.

Without further ado, here’s our home with stuff.

  1. Loved it! The apartment is so efficient and you three have done a great job with it.
Tell Genevieve she did a great job narrating the video. Love you all.

  2. Wow, nice place and it’s huge! Genevieve’s room is as big as my entire apartment! It’s looking really great!

    • We do have a back garden she goes out to sometimes, but we also live right by the Birs (a small river) and she gets daily walks along there. She seems to love it!
