This post is brought to you by quiet hours in our new apartment.
Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM and also from noon to 2 PM.
Sundays and public holidays are quiet hours all day.
There are some rule differences here for quiet hours. For example, you shouldn’t flush the toilet for liquid waste, but you are allowed to for solid waste.
You also shouldn’t take a bath during quiet hours, but you are allowed to shower.
At the old apartment, I started working on shifting G’s nap time to the quiet hours for this apartment with limited success, but she went down pretty easily today.
I’m taking all quiet hour rules with a grain of salt, though, since there’s a rooster living behind us who likes to remind you all day long that the sun is still up. This is why Andy and I didn’t feel too guilty about building during quiet hours last week and over the weekend.
It’s taking some getting used to, as is living in an apartment again… and everything else in Switzerland… but I think I can get behind the quiet hours, particularly the ones in the afternoon for nap time.
OK. I’m going to quietly watch a show now. Or maybe nap myself!
